FULL DETAILS
The Peugeot has the well-known Weber 40 DCOM double body carburetors. This old system of mounting two double carburetors to increase engine power (103 HP), although it has already been surpassed by modern injection systems, is still a solution that offers all kinds of satisfaction. The ignition has been the subject of in-depth studies and is of the transistorized type.
The performance of this little pump is truly impressive. At high speed, an area where the engine seems to be more comfortable, it goes up without problems until almost 7,000 rpm. (at 6,800 rpm is the maximum power regime) in a very progressive way and without jumps; at low speed, and contrary to what it might seem, it enjoys incredible recoveries for an engine that delivers so much power at high speed.
On the other hand, thanks to its fine adjustments and good balance, at the slightest request, it climbs turns like a real exhalation, always offering power at any speed.
This car is ready to hit the road!

The gearbox has been designed to try to make the most of the engine’s power. Its relationships are quite close and the final development is very short, achieving a maximum speed of 190 km/h. at a speed of 6,700 rpm. in fifth.
In the city, thanks to the joy of the engine, its short developments and its elasticity, it is extremely pleasant to drive, as well as super agile and manageable. On the highway. Although 103 HP is no longer enough to scare anyone, thanks to how well they are used, they make it extremely effective.
