The second week of August 1986 is remembered for the Rally Finland, also known as the “Thousand Lakes”.
This rally was one of the fastest and most spectacular events on the WRC calendar. In 1986, it was the last time the legendary Group B cars participated in this event, before they were banned. Juha Kankkunen won this rally in a Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, in a year where the danger of Group B was at its peak.
Here at Squadra Lupo we have one of these “French lions” who gave rise to these amazing machines and which marked the history of the world rally, turning them into legend.
